Mitrovica Summer University 2014

We are delighted to inform you that this year, for the seventh time, Mitrovica Summer University 2014 (MSU14) will be organized. We are looking for highly motivated students who want to participate in the MSU14 and to make it an unforgettable experience. 
 
Mitrovica Summer University 2014 will take place in Mitrovica between the 11th and 25th of July 2014.
 

Continuing with the original format, the program for MSU14 will bring together local and international professors and students, providing an opportunity to learn and share experiences.
 
During the Mitrovica Summer University 2014, four courses will take place on the following topics:
1. EU integration/ Western Balkan Accession;
2. Economy/Entrepreneurship;
3. Environmental Protection;
4. WEB Design;
 
All courses will be taught by local and international professors and will be in English.
 
Successful participants will gain an official Certificate of the Mitrovica Summer University which includes between 3 to 4 ECTS credits.
 
The two-week courses are organized together with cultural excursions and a recreational program. In addition, public discussions, lectures and other interactive events on prominent issues in society will take place. MSU14 offers a unique opportunity to expand academic knowledge and skills, while enjoying an exciting international atmosphere.

Lectures and classes are tuition free. Participants who study in Mitrovica and students from South East Europe can apply for a scholarship, which covers accommodation and food. In addition, they will receive a one-time stipend covering their travel costs. Bucharest Summer University 2013

The Students' Union of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies (US ASE), through the Students’ Senate, gladly invites you to take part in one of this summer's most interesting educational experiences: Bucharest Summer University 2013. This 9th edition of the international summer school, held annually in Bucharest, gathers students from all over the world to discuss different topics in the economics field. This international cultural and academic event focuses on economic problems and related fields of interest and has as a main objective to promote the common academic values.

The courses will take place between the 11th and 25th of August 2013. Together with speakers and professors from top universities and companies around the world, the 55 participants will spend 2 weeks in the campus of the Bucharest University of Economic Studies including one extended week-end exploring particular destinations across the country.

Do not miss the chance to apply for this year’s experience! It’s the perfect opportunity to discover a new country, a lot of new people from all around the world and to learn a lot of great information!

This year's theme is "Information and Governance in the Future Global Economy".

What do you have to do to apply? It’s really simple:
  • Write your Curriculum Vitae (you have the model here) and complete the Application Form (you can, also, download it from here).

  • For a Total Payment Application (590 euros)* you can apply until the 20th of June at application@bsu.ase.ro

  • If you want to apply for Partial Payment Application (290 euros)* – then you have to add to your CV and Application Form your letter of motivation and send them at application@bsu.ase.ro until the 20th of June.

  • If you want to be considered for a Full Scholarship* you have to write an essay (1200 words in a Word document, written with Times New Roman, Size 12, Spacing 1,5) on the theme “My scenario for the future governance in the global economy” and send it to us, along with the other documents (CV, Letter of Motivation and Application Form), until 15th of June at application@bsu.ase.ro 
Applicants must be a student (bachelor degree and master degree) or a PhD candidate.

CEU Summer University 2013

The Summer University (SUN) is an academic program for courses for graduate students, university teachers, researchers and professionals in the social sciences and humanities. In 2013, the summer program (June 3 – July 26, 2013) offers a series of intensive one- and two-week courses in the social sciences and humanities to encourage and promote regional academic co-operation and curriculum development by drawing together young faculty in lectures, seminars and workshops. The language of instruction is English.

Financial aid / scholarsips are available. Applications should be received no later than February 15, 2013.

Summer Academy in Schloss Hofen

The Centre International de Formation Europeenne (CIFE) invites to apply for the annual North American European Summer Academy in Schloss Hofen, near Bregenz, Austria, which will be held from July 26th to August 7th, 2010. The general topic of the event: Relations Between Europe And North America. 

Deadline: applications are considered as soon as received. 
Eligibility: generally graduate students, but applications from students in their second and third year university studies and young professionals shall be also considered (about 20 participants). 

Applications from European and North American students are welcome. The working language is English. Students successfully passing an exam will have the possibility to acquire ECTS academic credits (6 ECTS). A wide variety of experts including academics, social scientists and practitioners from Europe and North America will teach in this program. Classes will deal with the situation in Europe, Canada and the United States, transatlantic security and economic issues such as for example NATO, commercial relations between North America and Europe and also with the contemporary challenges of transatlantic relations.

The entire program is based in the education Centre Schloss Hofen. This former castle will be home to students for the duration of the program. Students and lecturers will be accommodated here and meals will take place here. It is located in the Voralberg mountains within fifteen minutes walk of Lake Constance, barbecues on the beach, boat trips to Austria, Switzerland and Germany. Group activities and excursions constitute an important part of the summer school.

A limited number of grants is available after examination of registration forms. Candidates who are not able to pay full expenses, may apply for a study and/or a living grant which will cover, partially or fully, the cost of the course. Travel costs have to be borne by participants.

Black Sea Summer University 2010

Centre International de Formation Européenne (CIFE) organizes its annual "Black Sea Summer University". This year it will be held in Varna, Bulgaria, on August 11-17, 2010.

About 30 participants from European Union and from around the Black Sea will be accepted. The candidates must be graduate students, students in their second and third year university studies and young professionals.

The topic of this year "Black Sea Summer University": "Territorial Branding of the Black Sea Region in the Enlarged Europe".

Working languages: French and English (good acknowledge of French Language is required).
