Flyer_Stipendien_2016_350
Are you under 30 years of age and want to be part of Europe’s Festival of Ideas, the European Forum Alpbach 2016? You want to immerse yourself in an environment bursting with novel ideas, new ways of thinking and opportunities for making new contacts?

Young participants have become an integral part of the European Forum Alpbach. Each year, the Forum welcomes more than 700 students and graduates whose attendance is enabled by our extensive scholarship programme. Aside from their critical spirit and contributions to the discussions, they also organise an entertaining and challenging social programme and are involved in the bodies and advisory boards of the Forum via the FAN Forum Alpbach Network.

The Seminar Week, the scientific centrepiece of the European Forum Alpbach, will explore the topic of “New Enlightenment” within a great variety of academic fields. The Alpbach Symposia will approach the topic from a more practice-oriented perspective. A large number of plenary and breakout sessions will give you the opportunity to debate today’s most burning issues in the fields of healthcare, higher education, technology, European and international politics, law, the economy and financial markets, as well as the built environment. Professional programmes on European health care, Art of Hosting, and an enriching cultural programme complete the agenda.

We welcome applications from all countries and academic disciplines and are happy to receive applications from the cultural and creative sector.

The grant to participate in the Seminar Week and the Alpbach Symposia is available to students and recent graduates up to 30 years of age. We welcome applications from all countries and academic disciplines and encourage artists and non-graduates to apply.
